| Rules |
- The game played is No limit Texas Hold’em Poker
- All players start with the same number and value of chips, which value 5,000
- THE CHIPS HAVE NO CASH VALUE.
- Blinds will increase as per the blind structure; this will be announced by the Pit Boss.
- Once a Player has lost all the chips they are eliminated and must leave the table
- Play continues until only 1 player is left with all the chips in play.
- In the event that a game is being played for longer than 4 hours the Pit Boss and landlord can decide to finish the game with the rankings depending on total chip count.
- Lower valued chips will be "chipped up" when they are no longer needed due to increased blinds. Any amounts not equal to the "chipped up" chip denomination will be rounded up.
- If you sign in to a game in advance you will have until the 2nd blind level to take your seat, in the event that you are not at the table by the time the 2nd blind finishes your chips will be removed from the table, and you will be signed out.
- Please play your own hand and do not ask any other players or spectators for advice.
- When the game begins each player on the table will draw a card, the player with the highest card will start as the dealer.
- Dealer responsibility rotates clockwise one player after every hand.
- Players must place their blinds. The Small Blind is the player seated to the left of the Dealer. The Big Blind is the player seated to the left of the Small Blind.
- Please refer to blind levels.
- The minimum bet is equal to the size of the Big Blind; Raises must be equal to or greater than the previous bet, the small blind must ‘make up’ before adding the raise.
- All participating hands will be turned face-up whenever a player is "all in" and betting action is complete.
- If a player lacks sufficient chips for a blind or a forced bet, the player is entitled to get action on whatever amount of money remains. In this situation, a side pot could occur for players with remaining chips.
- If two or more players tie, the pot will be split between the players who tied. If there is an odd chip, it will remain in the middle and become a part of the next hand's pot.
- If more than one player is eliminated on the same hand the player with the highest chip total at the beginning of the hand will be awarded the higher finishing points.
- If the player who is the small Blind is eliminated, the dealer who dealt the last hand will deal again ‘Back deal’ .
- All tables should have equal number of players, the Pit Boss will ask the next big blind player from a table to move to different tables in order to keep the number equal.
- Players new to a table play are dealt in to next hand unless seated in the Small Blind or Dealer position.
- If more than 50% of the table is replaced with new players then each player will draw a card to see who will be the dealer.
- Absent players will be dealt a hand and held responsible for blinds. If player is absent when it is his/her turn to act the hand will be folded.
- When only two players remain the player due to act as the Big Blind will do so and the other player will assume the dealer position. The dealer will act first prior to the flop and second after the flop.
- If a card is dealt face-up by accident the Dealer will declare the hand void, collect all cards dealt, shuffle and re-deal the hand. All blinds will remain in the pot.
- The burn cards and the muck cards must be kept separate until the hand is completed.
- The current dealer is the only person allowed to touch the muck pile. No player is allowed to turn over any cards in the muck pile. After completion of the hand the current dealer will collect all cards and pass the deal and button.
- If at any time a player's cards touch the muck pile [discard pile] the cards are dead and must remain in the muck, and the player loses all action on that hand.
- Players' chips and cards must remain on or above the table at all times.
- The Dealer is the only player allowed to touch chips in the pot. Players should make change with other players between hands. If necessary, the player may state his intended action (call, raise) and dealer may make change for the player from the pot.
- No string bets. If you need to put chips into the pot in more than one motion (e.g. you are betting a lot of chips), you must clearly announce 'raise' and the amount you wish to raise by. Alternatively, announce 'raise' and place an amount equal to the call, followed by the rest of the chips in a single motion.
- If you bet one chip into the pot without announcing 'raise' this will be considered to be a call, and change will be given for the excess value of the chip.
- If you bet more than one chip into the pot (in a single motion) without announcing 'raise', this will be considered to be a raise.
- Do not splash the pot. Place all bets directly in front of you then push all bets into the middle of the pot when all betting actions are completed.
- No short bets, to raise you must state Raise; your raise must be at least equal to the previous raise.
- Players who win a non-called pot are not required to show their cards.
- Verbal actions are binding.
- Poker etiquette is expected from all players. Inappropriate behaviour like throwing cards that go of the table may be punished with a penalty such as being dealt out for a period of time. A severe infraction such as abusive or disruptive behaviour may be punished with eviction and or/disqualification from the tournament.
- All participants are prohibited from placing any form of money on a session table, as law prohibits this. There will be no exceptions to this rule and violators will be asked to leave immediately.
- There will be no gambling what so ever on any hands or outcomes of the tournaments. Any violation will result in the player to be evicted from the current tournament, the facility and all future tournaments.
- The Pit Boss's decision is final on all disputes.
- PRIZES: You must be aged 18 or over to qualify to play for the prizes.
