Club Chairman’s Report
It was my pleasure to award Rob Morris with his prize of £50 as this months League winner and Colin Davidson this month’s best average prize of a quality card guard and may I say very well done to both of them.
The September month end final found us back at the Gladiator in Gloucester.
It was good to see 41 players sit down to contest this month final. It wasn’t long until Gloucester’s own Bondy started his usual antics and made some big gains, in fact he won the first three hands of the tournament. But as usual Bondy tried once too often and from being the early chip leader he was the first player out.
It wasn’t too long for the next player out and it became a steady flow as we made our way to the break. As we approached the final table it was Allen Tatton out on the bubble in 9th he won a meal for two at the Gladiator.

The final table was made up of;

Chip Count |
| John Hughes |
143,000 |
| Kris (Spider) Evans |
33,000 |
| Brian Burleigh |

| Jules Hughes |
34,000 |
| Simon Inglis |
7,000 |
| Colin Davidson |
28,500 |
| Sunny Kalcutt |

With Simon short stacked and soon in the big blinds something had to happen for him and he was able to double up and and take the fight on for some time.
The first to fall was Simon Inglis when with Q-7 ran into the 7-2 of Colin
The flop 2 3 9 turn A river 7 and Colins two pair put Simon out in 8th place
Next out was Brian Burleigh when his 3-4 hit the flop against the A-4 of Sunny
Flop came J-J-4 and with the turn and river giving not help Brian was 7th
In focus next was Kris Evans when he pushed with Pocket 2’s
He was up against Colin’s Pocket Ace’s
Flop fell 8-6-8 turn and river 4-10 and Spider was out in 6th
Next out was Jules when she pushed with pocket 9’s against Martyn’s A-7
Flop came 7-10-8 turn A river 2 and Jules was gone in 5th
Next was our original chip leader John Hughes when his K-6 went up against the A-Q of Sunny

Out in 3rd was Colin when short stack and pushed with 8-9 against Sunny’s 2-10
Flop 4-J-6 turn 5 river J left Colin out in 3rd
Heads up was Sunny and Martyn chips stacks at the start of heads up standing at;
Martyn 115K
Sunny 295K
The final hand came as:-

The flop came 4 4 8 – A – 6 giving Sunny two pairs and his first Month end finals win so a very big congratulations to him on his victory. And well done to Martyn.
I on behalf of the committee would like to thank all players for such a friendly and well played final and to Peter from the Gladiator for his hospitality and I hope to see you all at the next final.
