Chairman’s report
It was my pleasure to receive the prize of £25 as this month’s League winner and to award Clive Smith this month’s best average prize of Doyle Brunson’s book on poker. Well done Clive.
The October month end final found us back at the Gladiator in Gloucester for the second month in a row. We would like to thank Pete for his continued support and making it possible to run the final.
We had a wonderful turn out with 43 players sitting down to contest this month final.
I would like to take this opportunity to offer my personal thanks to all players at the final for such a well mannered and well played tournament. It was a pleasure to be involved with such a great event.
We did not have to wait long for the first to fall and big hands started to get crushed.
Out on the bubble in 9th was James Edge when he went all in with A-2 against Rob’s pocket 4s with no help for James he took home 9th place prize of a meal for 2 at the Gladiator.
The final table was made up of

Out in 7th was Leonard Dance when his A-8 0ff suit ran into Sunny’s pocket 5’s with Len failing to hit he left in 7th.
Out in 6th was Dish Patel when his 7-6 off suit hit two pair but wasn’t good enough to beat Rob’s trip Jacks on the river.
The 5th place went to Sunny Kalcutt (last month’s winner) when his A-10 ran into Rob’s A-K and when neither hitting Sunny was gone.
The 4th place was Brian Burleigh he pushed with A-7 off suit came up against Martins pocket 3’s and with Martin making a full house and Brian was out.
The 3rd place saw Robert Morris go down to Paresh when his A-8 off suit fell to K-4 off suit and although he hit his Ace it wasn’t good enough to beat Paresh’s flush on the river.
Heads up was Paresh and Martin chips stacks at the start of heads up standing at;
Martin 45K
Paresh 385K
The final hand came as:-
Martin K-8 off suit
Paresh A-J off suit
The flop came 10-2-7 – 7 – A giving Paresh two pairs and his first Month end finals win so a very big congratulations to him on his victory. And well done to Martin.
A quick note about the next final as this will be a role over for November and December with an increased prize pot.
