OCTOBER 2010 FINAL

Played November 14 2010 at The Brown Jug, Cheltenham

An excellent turnout of 45 of the 50 qualifiers contested the Final at The Brown Jug. The pre-match presentations were made to the League winner for the 2nd month running (in his absence) Gary Tyndall with 5953 pts and to the highest average, Chris Weaver with 402 pts over 7 games.

The £50 bounty was on Sharon Morris who was taken out after over 4 hours by Allen Tatton (Tats) adding to his winnings for the night. The first player to go out was Andrew Derham (playing in his 1st final) and after several hours’ play Phil Foster went out in the Bubble leaving the following players to contest the FINAL TABLE:-

Final Positions

8th (£30) Andy Jones – 9 flush was unfortunately not enough against Carl’s full house of   
                                           10s & 6s
7th (£40) Gemma Argent – 10/J lost to Clive’s A/Q

6th (£50) Tats – (plus the £50 Bounty) lost to Sunny; both had a set of 4s but he had the
                              lower kicker.
5th (£70) Carl Cullimore – whose AQ was well beaten by Clive’s 2prs Ks &10s

4th (£80) Tina Powell – KQ high lost to Clive again, who had pr of 9s.

3rd (£110) Sunny Kalcutt – whose pr of Qs was no match for Rob’s Ace high straight.

The final heads-up was between Clive Smith (234,000 chips) and Rob Weyman (115,000 chips) and after a hard-fought battle during which the chip lead changed hands a couple of times.

2nd (£220) went to Clive Smith

WINNER (£500) was ROB WEYMAN (with the winning hand of Q Q 10 9)
