June 2011 FINAL
June final played at the St James 9th July
Once again we had a good turnout for the final and 40 players sat down to play for the win.
I had pleasure to award Dom Fresca the league winner’s prize and Simon Inglis the best average prize.
Len Dance was the bounty and for a long time he was the chip leader by far but he eventually was taken out on the bubble by Steve Hancock.

Final Positions
Martyn was out in 8th place.
Simon Inglis was 7th when he pushed with pocket 3’s and despite ending up with two pairs he lost to trip 7’s.
Clive Smith was out in 6th when his A6 lost to A9 with both players hitting their kickers.
Next out in 5th was Brian Burleigh and sorry i don’t have the hand details.
Out in 4th was Martin Carroll when he pushed all in after he hit his 10 for a pair but ran into a K high flush.
3rd place went to Richard Sheldon when his full house 10’s over 5’s was beaten by a full house of 10’s over 8’s.
This left Tina Powell and Steve Hancock heads up and after a few hands the final hand saw Tina all in when her 9 made two pairs on the flop and Steve called with two over cards KJ and a gut shot straight draw the river came a J giving Steve a better two pairs and Tina out in 2nd with Steve the June final winner.
